The Alzheimer’s Face Off hockey tournament returns to Alberta for 2015, bigger and better than ever! An incredible roster of NHL legends are dusting off their gear for another memorable weekend of hockey.
The Alzheimer’s Face Off tournament, which raised $1 million in Edmonton last year to support the Alberta Alzheimer Research Program, offers the hockey experience of a lifetime. Taking place April 10-12, this charity event teams up local hockey enthusiasts with some of the NHL alumni’s all-time greats, as they take to the ice in the battle against Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The hockey tournament runs on Saturday April 11 and Sunday April 12 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Leduc Recreation Centre. The event is free of charge for the public.
Teams raise a minimum of $25,000 to participate in the tournament and get to draft a former NHL player to join their team. They spend the rest of the weekend enjoying incredible hockey and rubbing shoulders with some of the NHL alumni’s greatest.
