The Alzheimer’s Face Off hockey tournament returns to Alberta for 2014, bigger and better than ever! An incredible roster of NHL legends are dusting off their gear for another memorable weekend of hockey.
The Alzheimer’s Face Off tournament, which raised $1 million in Edmonton last year to support the Alberta Alzheimer Research Program, offers the hockey experience of a lifetime. Taking place April 11-13, this charity event teams up local hockey enthusiasts with some of the NHL alumni’s all-time greats, like Paul Coffey, Marty McSorley, Bryan Trottier, Jamie Macoun, Curtis Joseph and others, as they take to the ice in the battle against Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The weekend kicks off Friday, April 11 with the always memorable Legends Luncheon, and the event gets into high gear later the same day at Draft Night. Teams raise a minimum of $25,000 to participate in the tournament and get to draft a former NHL player to join their team.
Teams spend the rest of the weekend enjoying incredible hockey and rubbing shoulders with some of the NHL alumni’s greatest.
Don’t miss the chance to play hockey with and against some of your favourite former NHL stars, score amazing hockey memorabilia, raise money for a great cause and create memories that will last a lifetime!
